From cryptocurrency to e-commerce, entrepreneur and digital marketer Stephanie launches Hong Kong’s first reversible organic baby clothing line.

“The inspiration for Cotton Pigs came when I was looking for ways to travel light with my daughter Charlotte, which always seemed to be an impossible task with a baby-in-tow. I was always on the lookout for multi-purpose designs that would also look adorable on her. However that meant multiple sets of clothing,” says Stephanie.

“This inspired me to create reversible baby wear, halving the sets of clothing required to bring with me while travelling and keeping the task of dressing Charlotte fun, versatile and imaginative.”

Fabric choice was an important priority during the design phase, particularly as Charlotte had very sensitive skin and was often prone to eczema. Much research was done to ensure that the source of cotton was organic and that the fabric consequently produced was as smooth as it can possibly be, especially for a baby’s sensitive skin. Cotton Pigs is Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)-certified and all of their pieces are 100% cotton and hypoallergenic.

All of the outfits are designed for a roomier fit, suitable for both disposable and cloth diaper babies, along with lots of room to grow into, so that each piece can last longer. The inspiration for patterns often comes from Charlotte, for example some of her favourite stuffed toys are unicorns and dinosaurs, and her favourite fruits are apples and strawberries. Cotton Pigs has a range of matching reversible rompers, dresses, headbands, bibs and blankets, all of them suitable for that perfect baby gift.
